Wallpaper Downloader

Wallpaper Downloader is a free application that allows its users to automatically download background images from the web site bing.com to your computer.

You can change Windows desktop images on a regular basis from Bing.com, Microsoft’s latest search engine, that offers new wallpapers every day.

Created originally for Windows Vista, now it is available for Windows XP and newer Windows versions. This program will download new wallpaper images from all Bing worldwide sites and set them automatically or manually (as the user wishes to do so). The interface shows thumbnail previews of the images in the form of a slideshow loop, for ease of selection.

There are similar programs but Wallpaper Downloader has customizable settings such as how you want to position the image on the desktop, changing frequency, etc. Furthermore, it stays minimized as an icon at the system tray instead of residing on the taskbar.

Version 2.3 is fully compatible with Windows 7, and bugs that caused it to not update or to shutdown unexpectedly have been fixed.
